What I've been up to lately

Hey!
I know I haven't written in a while so I thought I'd give you a list of what I've been up to
  • Applying for jobs
  • Crafts (I have a new post or two coming soon in the craft section)
  • Starting to pack (we move in 12 days )
  • Applying for jobs
  • Loving on kitties
  • Beginning to learn how to hula hoop dance with Dara
  • Sleeping in
  • Painting
  • Getting a new Social Security Card (proving my citizenship)
  • And... Applying for jobs.
So... As you can see...
I've been doing a lot of stuff lately.

Mostly. Trying to find a job.

Ah, Tucson... lend me a helping hand and help me get a job already?!
PLEASE?

Also.

I am going to be selling my art soon.
The hardest part about painting so far has been letting them go.

So if you are interested in buying a painting

(or allowing me to hang art in your place of business...)
Let me know!
=)

and now for a cute picture of Veda from when she was still cute and little

A Day Full Of Mojito

Mojito: A drink I'm not really fond of.

Luckily, it is also the name of this lovely cat.
Isn't he a cutie? And he has amazingly soft fur.

Or...
He did.

You see, it's summer and summer means a large amount of flies in the backyard. Apparently.

So to fix this problem we bought:

Which actually worked rather nicely,
we had it hanging out on the porch and it caught many many flies...

And Mojito.

The monsoons rolled in which must have blown the tape off of its hanging point
and right onto Mojito.

Who ran into the house so full of fear, that one could not help but laugh.

After settling him down
Jenna and I painfully tore the sticky fly infested tape off of
his back legs, butt and tail.

But even after the tape was off he was still super sticky
And that sticky stuff was probably poisonous

.....

So after some deliberation we decided it would be the safest route

to shave him.

Poor Mojito
=(

And now I am off to Globe for the weekend, I only hope that when I return Mojito has forgiven us for shaving his butt... I feel like I probably will not see him before I leave. He is slightly embarrassed by his new look.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Oh Hey There!

In the past year it seems like I have blossomed into an entirely new and more confident person. I graduated with my BA, moved to Tucson, and now I'm learning how to live life while also learning how to describe myself without using the word "student." So if you're reading along, welcome. =)
