Once upon a time...In January of 1988 to be specific... a baby girl was born in a small town hospital. Across town her mother and father received the phone call that they should come and meet their soon to be baby girl. A few months later she was adopted by the best parents she could have asked for and was named Melissa Nicole Steele.
She lived in one house her entire life (until her rebellious teenage years). She learned how to fish from her father and how to paint from her grandma, she learned kindness from her mother and confidence from her sister.
This allowed her to love people and what she quickly learned they were capable of. A bit of a tom boy she would love nothing more than to have a camping/fishing trip that would last as long as the supplies allowed. She learned to love the smell of dirt and rain. And she quickly found that if she wasn't doing something creative, something to make the world beautiful, she would have to battle a hollow feeling inside.
She knows now that there is no sense in shrinking down to make yourself fit in. If you shine, you were probably meant to be as a lighthouse. So Shine On.
